Description

This comforting oatmeal bowl with berries and fig provides a nutrient-dense start to your day and is perfect for the autumnal weather.

Ingredients

  • 75g rolled oats
  • 200ml unsweetened almond milk
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla paste
  • ½ a small banana, mashed
  • ½ a small fig
  • 1 teaspoon applesauce (optional)
  • A small handful of fresh blueberries
  • A small handful of strawberries, halved
  • 1 tablespoon cashew nuts

Instructions

  1. Put the oats, milk, cinnamon, vanilla paste, and mashed banana in a pan. Bring to the boil then cook on a low heat for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  2. Serve the porridge in a bowl. Top with berries, figs, cashew nuts and applesauce if using.
